Shipping Your Legal Documents
When packing
and sending legal documents, a few simple practices will help you reduce waste
and save money. To start, always look
for the smallest possible box, allowing for only a few inches of packing
material on all sides of the items that you are sending. One legal translation worker reminds us all
that a box that has been used before is always a greener choice than buying a
new box. However, if you are going to
use an old box you should make sure that it is sturdy and capable to standing
up to any abuse that it will take during transportation. In addition, make sure to mark over any
printed material that could confuse the shippers. According to a German Translation worker, 'Even
if a box has been heavily written on it can still be used by turning it inside
out.' Just take a box cutter, make a few
slits, bend the flaps out the other direction and retape. In addition to reusing cardboard, you can
also reuse bubble wrap and packaging material.
